I’m Ashley Mertins, the heart behind Texas Glamping Company, where we bring luxury camping experiences right to your doorstep across Texas.

I’ve always felt a pull toward nature… even though I’ll be the first to admit I also really enjoy my comforts. My husband and I used to go on the rugged kind of camping trips — no bathrooms, no running water, and definitely no electricity. Let’s just say… character building

Everything changed when we decided to create our own version of backyard glamping with our girls. That’s when it clicked — you can have the beauty of the outdoors and the comfort of a cozy bed, soft linens, and a thoughtfully designed space. And honestly… once you’ve done it that way, there’s no going back.

Some of my favorite memories are those simple moments — sitting around the fire, late night conversations, waking up to the quiet stillness of the morning. It’s peaceful, grounding, and something we don’t get enough of in everyday life.

That’s what sparked this business. Not just tents, but creating experiences people remember.

From dreamy weddings to corporate retreats to backyard celebrations, my goal is to take the stress off your plate and create something that feels effortless, beautiful, and truly special for you and your guests.
